The Blue Bird is the eighth playable character in EvoWorld.io, and can be spawned with a Level 7 account or higher. It was introduced on 10 April 2018.

Appearance[]

Likewise to its name, it is a blue-colored bird with wings and a tail of the same color (but some parts are more white). It has the default eyes and a tiny, yellow beak.

Food & Predators[]

The EXP values listed below assume the player has no Bonus Codes or other boosters. If the player does have one, multiply the value shown by the EXP bonus (as a decimal, not a percent) to find how much XP will be gained.

Skill[]

Swoop-ability

Swoop

TYPE:
Active

DESCRIPTION: You glide for 3 seconds (or until you hit something). If you hit prey or food you do double damage.

Strategy & Tips[]

As a Blue Bird[]

  • The Blue Bird can eat Acorns quickly in two bites. Use this to your advantage. However, these give low EXP, so don't eat it unless it's the only food available.
  • Avoid sticking around trees, though, as you are Wasps' second most beneficial food after Hens, and much like the Pigeon, Wasps can and will eat you despite being a few tiers lower.
    • You can search for a Hen for the Wasp to focus on it.
  • Sometimes, going around a Hen will help you out, their Eggs yield high EXP for a couple of bites.
  • The Swoop ability is extremely useful on offence. Get above your prey and swoop down on it. Since you go down at full speed, they're less likely to get away, and you'll deal double damage (this can also be used on Non-playable Entities to eat them faster).
  • Do not go after Flies, they are generally not worth the EXP, but if one is low on health or AFK, you can eat it for a quick bite. Use the Swoop ability to help you kill it faster. Just get lucky thanks to its ability to block 50% of attacks.
  • When escaping from predators, there are some things to note:
    • 1: The Pigeon and the Blue Bird have similar predators, and, compared to the Duck, it gains one: the once mentioned Hornet.
    • 2: When escaping from predators, fly up to Space, then use your Swoop ability and fly away once you hit the ground.
    • 3: Take advantage of your tiny hitbox, much like you did with the Pigeon.

As a prey of the Blue Bird[]

  • A Blue Bird generally ignores Flies, but if you're low on health, watch out. Alternatively, evolve quickly to escape the Blue Bird.
  • Also, if you are distracted, Blue Birds and Dragonflies can attack you at the same time!

As a predator of the Blue Bird[]

  • Look around trees, they're the most likely spot where Blue Birds are.
  • Wasps can take advantage of a severely weakened Blue Bird to ambush it, kill it, and gain substantial amounts of EXP. However, it is best to let it evolve.
  • Its tiny hitbox can make it very hard to land a hit on one. Try trapping it against another object or player.
  • Try to gobble up a Blue Bird when it uses its Swoop ability. It won't be able to fly for a few seconds, allowing you to kill it.
  • The same strategies for eating a Pigeon apply to the Blue Bird.

Trivia[]

  • It is one of the Characters that is ignored the most, due to its small size, making it hard to try to kill it, as it can escape into the tiniest spaces, alongside the Fly and the Cosmic Insect.
  • It is one of the four Characters besides the Fly, the Pigeon, the Hen and the Cosmic Insect that can survive the small entrance above the main entrance to the lair that spawns a Demonic Angel if quick enough, and can fit into the tiny safe space with no fire damage. Take note that you still can get killed if you try to escape while low on health.
  • It has the second most predators in the game (35), which is only exceeded by the Pigeon (37).
  • It is one of the smallest animals.
    • It is one of three animals besides the Fly and the Cosmic Insect that have the smallest hitboxes in the entire game.
