Not to be confused with Cosmic Big Insect, a non-playable entity with a similar name.

The Cosmic Insect, formerly known as the Cosmic Bug, is an animal in EvoWorld.io and the thirty-seventh animal stage a player can achieve. You can spawn in as this animal with a level 36 account or higher. It was added on 13 April 2018.

Food Chain Status[]

The EXP values listed below assume the player has no Bonus Codes or other boosters. If the player does have one, multiply the value shown by the EXP bonus (as a decimal, not a percent) to find how much XP will be gained.

Note: '%' means that the entity will only get a fraction of the Cosmic Insect's EXP.

Below is a list of entities that players using the Cosmic Insect can eat, and the EXP that is derived from eating that entity. Entities with an orange background below can mutually damage the Cosmic Insect

DESCRIPTION: In space you move naturally and lose less oxygen. If your oxygen level is low, look for Cosmic Plants.

Strategies & Tips[]

As a Cosmic Insect[]

  • Your food is only present in Space, so head up there. Space has two large floating islands in the upper extremes of the map, next to the Black Holes. There is another floating island above the middle of the map. There are also smaller islands scattered about. There are Cosmic Eggs and Cosmic Plants for you!
  • Don't forget to head back down if your water is low and you're not in any of the three big islands.
  • If your oxygen level is low, look for Cosmic Plants. While you are doing this, it is also a good idea to gain experience from the Cosmic Plant, much like a Butterfly getting experience from a Flower.
  • When you have high oxygen, look for Eggs. They bring much more XP to the table than Cosmic Plants do. Just make sure you return to a plant afterward.
  • Don't fear by the gravity and oxygen loss in space — you are one of the animals who can move naturally and lose less oxygen in space.
  • When you are close to evolution, make sure you're in the open space instead of in the caves. It is possible to get soft-locked (stuck) inside the caves due to your evolution's large hitbox. Predators may also use the opportunity to wait for you to upgrade, blocking and killing you once you obtain the Cosmic Big Eye.
  • If you see a Ghostly Reaper, Pumpkin Ghost or Grim Reaper, run away! You are rich in XP and thus a target to these predators.
  • Watch out for Crocodiles and Tyrannosauruses because they can easily kill you in two hits if you happen to accidentally bump into them while evolving into a Cosmic Insect or when you are getting down from space.
  • It's highly recommended to go to the island above the water between the Swamp and the Grassland. There, you will find an island with a Cosmic Plant and Cosmic Fruits to prepare for your next stage.

As the predator of a Cosmic Insect[]

  • A Cosmic Angry Eye or a Cosmic Bat can eat a Cosmic Insect. However, given the small hitbox and the fact it also has excellent performance in space, it may be difficult to eat them. 99% of the time, you won't find one, but if you do, chase it, it'll reward substantial XP if caught. Do not go out of your way to find one though, unless one is on the leaderboard, in which case head to the two large islands.
    • As a Cosmic Angry Eye, it'll be more rewarding to target a Cosmic Big Insect, as it'll be much easier to kill. As a Cosmic Bat, go after a Cosmic Insect if you see it, but stop the chase if it goes into a narrow corridor you can't get into, as you could be trapped yourself by a predator.
    • If a Cosmic Insect goes into the caves in space to hide, and if you are a Cosmic Angry Eye or Cosmic Bat, don't bother pursuing it. The Cosmic Insect's small size will likely allow it to swiftly escape and there will be more chance of you being ambushed by a predator.
  • When it's down to replenish its water resources, though, one can seize the opportunity to ambush it and devour it — but this situation is very rare, and the Cosmic Insect will generally not waste time on the ground.

Trivia[]

  • Before the 18/2/2019 update, it was known as the Cosmic Bug and ate only Stars. (Now, it is known as the Cosmic Insect, and Stars are not edible).
  • Before the 18/2/2019 update, with the Cosmic Big Eye, the Cosmic Angry Eye, the Cosmic Bat and the Overfed Cosmic Bat (code-wise), it could hold up the oxygen level in space, but with the release of the Cosmic Plant in 18/2/2019, holding the oxygen level is no longer possible, but it will lose less oxygen in Space than other animals.
  • It is one of four animals (not counting the Ghost or the Pumpkin) besides the Fly, the Pigeon, the Hen and the Blue Bird that can fit in the small space above the hallway that leads to the Demonic Angel's lair.
  • It is one of the three animals besides Blue Bird and Fly that have the smallest hitbox out of the entire game.
  • It is one of the other animals besides the Demonic Imp that has a realistic design.
  • It is one of the smallest animals.
  • It is the last insect, hence its name. After another long chain of birds and prehistoric/mythic/non-existent animals, an insect (but non-existent) is playable again. The last insect before it was the Hornet.
