Strategy & Tips[]
As a Demonic Egg Eater[]
- Your only source of food is in one place — the Demonic biome, so go to that area.
- You could eat the food in the Jungle or the Desert as a Pterodactyl and a Swamp Monster. You could also farm in Arctic as the Swamp Monster, using the Wormhole to be teleported to the Demonic biome upon upgrading and eating stones in that area as a Stone Eater.
- The safest way is just to eat the Demonic Egg on the ground level, but there is only two eggs on the ground, which is very time-consuming. However, you can fly into the hole, though this is very risky, because even though this animal doesn't have many predators, it can get killed by the Small Demons guarding the Eggs very easily due to impaired vision, so be alert at all times.
- This animal is fairly easy to evolve from, with just a few Demonic Eggs needed for evolution.
- You can always hide from predators in the lava, as the Demonic Egg Eater is one of the only animals that can stay there safely. Just remember that you lose oxygen very quickly in lava and that it's somewhat hard to get out of.
- Watch out for Ghostly Reapers because they are the only kinds of reapers who are small enough to fit in the caves (unless another reaper glitched into the cave). They also have night vision to spot you so escape as fast as you can.
- If you see that some of the Small Demons are attacked, then get out as quickly as you can since it was most likely that a Ghostly Reaper had been there.
As the predator of Demonic Egg Eater[]
- The Demonic Egg Eater's only food source is located in a narrow area so try to corner them inside, but there are two exits, so make sure it cannot escape, and Pumpkin Ghost and Grim Reaper can't get down there because it is too narrow to fit in, unless they want to be trapped there forever, or at least until they die of thirst.
- That being said, you should use the Ghostly Reaper to kill a Demonic Egg Eater (and if it still wants to eat only Demonic Eggs, the Demonic Bat).
- The Demonic Egg Eater can be a tough prey as it can hide in the lava ponds — don't be the one who gets trapped in the lava and killed!
- Since you only attack in front of you, a Demonic Egg Eater can escape the lava and fly on top of you, trapping you in the hot bath and killing you.
- If you are unwilling or unable to go underground to the main habitat of the Demonic Egg Eater, there is very little chance that you will be able to eat one as they will mostly be underground due to abundance of Demonic Eggs there. However, you can attempt to catch and kill Demonic Egg Eaters that are migrating from another biome if they have only just upgraded.
