Dragonfly

The Dragonfly is the fifth playable entity in EvoWorld.io, and can be spawned with an account at level 4 or higher. It was added on 11 April 2018.

Appearance[]

The Dragonfly has a pastel green-colored body, On its back, the body is striped (pastel green and black). On its middle, it has wings. On its front, it has white eyes with black pupils that are half-closed.

Strategy & Tips[]

As a Dragonfly[]

If you haven't chased other animals yet as a Wasp, now is a good time to train, as it is an offensive animal, and the first of its kind. However, it does little damage against Flies (due to their ability), Butterflies can hide on flowers, and Mosquitoes have Pigs to protect themselves, the latter of which are harmful to Dragonflies. Otherwise, you can target Ladybugs, which can only be eaten by you and the reapers. They spawn aplenty in the City and in the Swamp.
Stay near places with bread to be able to level up your next animal (Pigeon) quickly.
When escaping from predators, there are some things to note:
- 1: Do not evolve near Mad Bats and other future predators. The Pigeon can be eaten by most mid- to high tier animals, making it a very vulnerable creature.
- 2: Touch the ground (Grasslands only) and pray that the Turkey chasing you touches it, finds a worm and evolves. If it doesn't, run and try again after 20 seconds.
  - 2.5: Search for a Wasp. If you have been a difficult prey to be gobbled up, the Turkey will focus on it.
- 3: If you are infected by a Mosquito or chased by a Maroon Bird, go to a body of water. Those locations will also be where the Hornets will usually be. Even when you evolve, both will still be fighting against each other. If they want to go for you, they will be touching each other anyways.
- 4: Alternatively, hide in a cloud and wait until the predator loses patience due to your low EXP reward.

As a prey of the Dragonfly[]

They tend to camp around trees, where their prey's food is plentiful. Avoid getting yourself trapped beneath flowers.
As a Mosquito (and any other prey of the Dragonfly), you can take advantage of neighboring Pigs to give yourself a safety blanket.
As a Fly, you have the Beginner's Luck special ability, which gives you the ability to dodge some attacks. You might survive the grasp of a Dragonfly if you're lucky enough.

As a predator of the Dragonfly[]

The Dragonfly, as said before, camps around trees, so you can hover around one.
As a Maroon Bird, wait for it to evolve and swoop on it. Pigeons give more EXP than Dragonflies, but the latter is less competed. Choose wisely.
As a reaper, do NOT target the Dragonfly due to its low EXP reward.

Trivia[]

It is the only animal (besides glitches that sometimes occur) that can grab its prey. The Demonic Bat's Fear skill is similar though.
It is one of the smallest animals.
This animal cannot collide with reapers.
If the Dragonfly evolves into a Pigeon while it was grabbing its prey, then the prey will be grabbed by the Pigeon for a short amount of time and not take damage.
