The Pigeon is the sixth playable entity in EvoWorld.io, and can be spawned with an account that is Level 5 or higher. It was added on 11 April 2018.

Appearance

The Pigeon is one of the smallest characters in the game. Its lower body area is gray, with forest green-colored feathers covering the upper body. The upper body has eyes and a tan-like beak. The lower part has maroon wings and feather tail and two small orange feet.

Strategy & Tips

As a Pigeon

• It has the largest list of predators to date, making it an extremely dangerous animal to play in crowded servers.
• You will generally encounter plenty of birds, which makes the task of leveling up a Pigeon tougher as its food becomes scarce and predators run rampant. Sticking around a City environment may allow a Pigeon to encounter higher quantities of Bread, which allows it to gain EXP quicker.
• The Pigeon is vulnerable to Wasps, so it's also advised to avoid flowers and trees, even if Acorns or Worms are present.
• If you'd like to go to a certain area with bread, such as the castle, beware of your predators, such as reapers, Ravens, and Wasps. Because you can't see underground, some of your predators may ambush you and kill you. Also, beware of Non-Playable Entities like the Black Widow or the Zombie, which can kill you if you're not careful. However, If you can get past them, the area they guard will contain a lot of food and likely be safe from predators.
• Going into Space in search of bread is only advised in the extremes of the map and on the larger floating islands, since they are the only places with bread in Space. However, you must still be careful of Cosmic Bats and your oxygen levels, which deplete relatively quickly in space (search for Cosmic Plants if you have almost no oxygen).
• Your ability allows you to instantly eat food every 20 seconds, which makes evolving easier. For a fast evolve, touch a Worm when the ability is ready to use.
  • If you're on a crowded server, locate a worm, eat it, and hide in a cloud or bush until your ability recharges.
• When escaping from predators, there are some things to note:
  • 1: You will be running from players a lot, since you have 19 predators. Evolve quickly, but if you can't, go underground in narrow caves such as those with 1x1 gaps (with food), since the only other animals that can explore all of the caves are the Fly, the Butterfly, the Mosquito, the Wasp, the Dragonfly, Blue Bird, the Hen, the Red Bird, the Seagull, the Blackbird, the Owl, the Demonic Imp, the Cosmic Insect, the Ghost and the Pumpkin (which don't harm you, except for the Wasp, the Owl, and the Demonic Imp).
  • 2: When you cannot reach underground, luring your predators into their predators is an alternative. Since some won't target you, focus on those who will most likely target you.

As a predator of the Pigeon

• Due to its extensive list of predators and difficulty in leveling up, it is probably the animal you'll be hunting most often, aside from those in lakes or underground. However, do not target them exclusively, as it has a relatively low EXP reward.
• As a Maroon Bird or a Wasp, wait for a severely weakened Pigeon (or a Dragonfly with low health) to evolve and swoop on it/be lucky to poison it. It is your best EXP source when Blue Birds and Hens are scarce.
• As a Mad Bat/Demonic Bat, you can see underground and enter nearly all the places the Pigeon can, therefore you can locate one and block the area the Pigeon can enter but you can't.
• As a Pterodactyl, a Pigeon going to drink water or a poisoned/burnt/infected (if it evolved by eating a Mosquito) Pigeon going to cure itself will have no chance to escape. Beware, though, if it's burnt. A Demonic Imp, a Dragon or a Phoenix, which are also your predators, may be near.
  • The same can be done with Swamp Monsters in the mud if the Pigeon drinks "water" out of the mud or if the Pigeon accidentally fell there/went to the mud to extinguish fire. If it's the latter case, the aforementioned animals can also eat you, so be cautious.
• If it goes to the Black Widow's Jungle lair, you can go for it. It will be trapped due to the cobwebs and the Black Widow itself. This works best with a Phoenix, as reapers cannot get you there, you can't be killed by the Black Widow (in addition, you can kill it), there is water to drink, and there may be some prey eating the Meat on the cave (excluding the Dragon). However, Pigeons give low EXP.
• If you are a reaper or high-tier animal, do NOT hunt Pigeons due to their low EXP reward.

Trivia

• It is the first animal in the game that can be bitten by a lower-tier animal, and one of five (Maroon Bird, Demonic Imp, Blue Bird, Hen). However, it is the only one of this list to be bitten by one and not able to bite back, as well as the Blue Bird and the Hen.
• The Pigeon is one of four animals besides the Fly, the Blue Bird and the Cosmic Insect that can survive the small area that also has the Fire of Death which spawns a Demonic Angel if quick enough, and can fit into the tiny safe space with no fire damage. Take note that you can still get killed if you try to escape while low on health.
• It has 19 playable predators and 37 predators in total, making it the animal with the most predators. The Blue Bird comes in at a close second with 17 and 35 respectively.
• All animals that can eat Woodpeckers can also eat Pigeons.
• The Pigeon is one of the few animals in EvoWorld.io that also appears in Mope.io, a similar game.
