Server Barrier is a conjectural name for this article.

The Server Barrier is a grey-brick-themed wall made of space ground Blocks that theoretically blocks players from getting outside common server grounds. It's practically indestructible, but it's possible, if hard, to phase through (mainly by being pushed into the border), albeit most times you'll respawn with all your XP in another location (as if you had lost connection with the server). Most times, you won't really get out, so it isn't confirmed if those measures truly block the players from getting out to more space or if it's truly the border of the Server. Sometimes, when you get close enough to penetrate the barrier, but not enough, strange things will happen, such as getting stuck (sometimes even gaining oxygen), having a close-distance teleport or having a sudden, uncontrolled outburst of speed in the direction you were facing that can make you cross the distance of several biomes. If you team up with someone or use an alt account you can use the other user to push you out of the barrier, but if not lucky you might not get out.

This barrier surrounds the server in the North, East and West, being the NW wall the thickest, where a smiley person is drawn (seen to the left). However, the South is just blocked by different underground blocks (with the exception of the Pit of Fire floor), which have been known to be more permissive to physical intrusion, which may theoretically lead to people phasing through the floor outside the server if enough players/entities are pushing in odd ways (somewhat akin to the video in your right).

The server barrier shown in the NW wall with the smiley face. This does not exist anymore.

Serverbarrierbypassed

The proof that this barrier can be bypassed, if you push fast enough and in the correct place. Please note that the player pushed two dungs at the same time. Sometimes the size doesn't matter, since there has been proof of a butterfly pushing a pterodactyl outside the server, but if a sprite is extremely flat (like the one of a butterfly) that creature will be far more difficult to be pushed outside, albeit the smaller a sprite is, the more chances are of it surviving outside the barrier instead of simply triggering a respawn elsewhere.

There's another way to bypass the barrier, consisting in getting stuck in somewhere specific near the barrier where you may become trapped under a block or underground, and move in order to see your position vibrate or doing weird things. The way shown in the video is not possible anymore due to the addition of the Ice Cave

Cave-instance-2

The inaccessible cave as appeared before the 19/09/2019 update. Now it's a part of the Pit of Fire.

Trivia[]

  • As a Red Bird there's another chance to bypass the barrier through the Ice Cave In order to do this first look for the nearest place in the cave with Bread, then if you only need a little amount of XP eat the nearest bread that's almost near the end of the Ice Cave. Once you eat it, you will turn into a Pelican, DON'T MOVE and wait until you notice that you start to rise up through the blocks. Still don't move just wait until you keep rising up until you get out of the barrier!
    • Reminder: Before doing this make sure your water levels are high because it may take a long time before you will be able to get out of the barrier. (And there's no water once your out of the barrier).
