Strategies & Tips[]

As a Turkey[]

  • The Turkey separates itself from other animals by being one of the only five animals which can eat Dragonflies (three of which are reapers. It also shares this trait with the Maroon Bird). A crowded server will have plenty of Dragonflies and Wasps (another high-XP giving Character) around, which means a feast for Turkeys!
  • A Turkey can also eat Snakes (the only one before the Raven, so not much competition about them will be found), so it can be beneficial to head to the Desert biome and gobble down on the Snakes located in the Pyramid and around it. There are 6 Snakes to munch on, most of which are in the pyramids, and you can level up quickly to a Bat which is helpful as there are also Mice in the pyramid. Be mindful that nearly every predator to the Turkey can eat Snakes as well, so stay alert!
    • If you evolve into the Seagull, there is the Tropical Ocean with lots of Fish and Starfish, so it will be easy to evolve into the Blackbird (which staying on the pyramid is also beneficial as there is Bread).
  • In the 1 September 2018 update, the Turkey gained the ability to dig for Worms. This isn't too complicated, because if the Turkey lands on the ground it will dig for Worms. If it hits one, which it has a 40% chance of doing, it will eat it in one bite. You must be touching the top of a surface layer Grassland or Jungle block to do this. The blocks in the eastern Jungle cave also work despite being underground.
  • When escaping from predators, there are some things to note:
    • 1- Don't evolve near a Hornet. Your next evolution can be eaten by it! If you do evolve (due to your ability), run.
    • 2- You can evolve near a Mad Bat. The Bat is one of the animals Mad Bat cannot eat.
    • 3- Use your ability. It helps.

As the prey of a Turkey[]

  • Red Alert if you're a Dragonfly! As mentioned above, it can and will eat you! Don't play it too smug and escape once you see one of these predators, they will want to eat you due to your reputation and high XP. Wasps should be careful too, as they also yield high XP (the same XP Dragonflies give) for Turkeys as well!

As the predator of a Turkey[]

  • A Turkey is likely to be in the pyramid where most of the Snakes are. This is a good place to corner one and eat it.
  • If you can get past the Mummy and have good vision underground, you can check for any sneaky Turkeys there.
  • You can also try to search one in flowering fields, since it will be targeting Cherries, Currants and Wasps.
